Turning points and Achievments (Nelson Mandela)


Turning points

-           Nelson Mandela became increasingly aware of the unjust nature of South African Society

-          In 1944 helped to found ANZ youth league

-          Resigned from ANZ and work under ground

-          Arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in Robben Island prison

-          In 1990 released from prison

-          Lost his oldest son to H.I.V epidemic

-          Mandela retired

 

Achievments

-          In 1944 Found ANZ youth league

-          In 1952 opened the first black law firm in South Africa

-          In 1960 advocate armed struggle through the MK

-          Helped to keep other men’s sprits high and never compromised his political principle when offered early release

-          10th of May 1994 Mandela was inaugurated as the first democratically elected state president of South Africa

-          Worked hard on H.I.V  Campaign

-          Mandela associated with many educational programmers and initiative such as make poverty history campaign

-          In 1993 awarded  the Nobel peace prize
